Need Alpha Skinning Help

ok so i used This Tutorial to try alpha skinning but it simply did not work, anyone got any advice and stuff?
EDIT- i know i am new but i am experianced in alot of stuff. I just bought this comp from a friend and even he didnt know how to do alpha skinning.

Well this is what i got when finished with the alpha skinning(only showing alpha layer) and when i save it doesnt show the alpha in model editor or in the game

Dude .. select all channels before saving..
In other words.. select all channels and then save.

ive done that and it still doesnt work
