Hi!

I need some inspiration for my units on the picture below. I need to come up with better names, because I think names are an important feature to make an unit interesting.

The first building is the town hall for the player who plays as "Hell"

The second building contains upgrades and produces mechanical units

The Necromancer is like a pharoh, he summons structures and can boost workers and attackunits.

The firelord on the picture is not a hero but a unit. A strong melee unit but can also "Ignite" units. The Ignite works like lightning shield, but it also damages the unit that is targeted.

All ideas about what I can name these units, buildings and abilities are welcome!

If you have any fun idea about these units might have for abilites etc, please share them aswell :)

Thanks for your ideas, yes the pharoh is from AOM, but in my game he even summons the buildings. But I can not call him Pharoh in my game xD

Anyone has any more ideas, please share them!

First building - The Abyss
Second building - Hellforge
Firelord - Sweeper / Hellguard / Flamefist

An observation: For your second building, I assume when you say 'contains upgrades' they aren't the main upgrades but only minor upgrades for specific units? Unit production buildings are best separated from buildings that gives primary upgrades (eg: Human Barracks and Human Blacksmith are separate buildings.)

1st: Citadel of flame / Shrine of death / Desecrated temple
2nd: The eternal flame / Ever-burning shrine / Pit of flames / Harvestry of flames(meh..)
3rd: Helion / Heirophant( hehe cool, means stern teacher) / Devils apprentice / galican spawn
4th: Helion(maybe) / Ignis galian(means guardian of the flames / Pummeler / Hell Crawler

Also for the fire guy, my idea for him would be that he has an upgrade in the shrine thing that gives him an ability that causes damage per second to buildings he hits and burns them, it would be cool if you gave him a limited(very only hits adjacent enemies) area splash and having demolish type damage, high damage.
in my opinion the ignite thing does not seem like a good idea, give it to a spell caster or the necromancer for say you want to defeat your opponents early on so send in a burning peasant (as if hes torturing him while achieving his goal) and instead give the fire guy maybe an ability that if in case he has the buff ignite, witch for me is with the necromancer he is capable of exploding, dealing great amounts of damage to nearby units, friend or foe but ultimately destroying the unit.

i might post more ideas soon.....

Thanks for all your answears!

The "Necromancer" on the picture above, he always has reincarnation, which means that a player can only have one necromancer and he comes back to life after he is killed.

What would YOU call an ability like that?

--------------------------------------------------------------

Also, the basic melee-unit is called Legion. (Not seen on the picture)
The Legion has an ability that increases his movespeed for a short time.
I call that ability "Charge", but it sounds so boring.

What would YOU call an ability like that?

Maybe you call the "Necromancer" "Son of the Everburning/The Everburning"
then you can call the ability to revive him "Everlasting Flame/Immortal Flame

PS: where did you got that magma firelord from? :p
