The terrain is really open, is that on purpose?

I think it looks quite good. I those pictures that are under trees. Perhaps you should put some more doodads near the roads? And it's little too plain, raise little but not on the roads.

Yeah, I want to create a feeling of a forrest without having pathing blockers everywhere, if you see what I mean

It looks great to me. Reminds me a lot of WoW, specifically Elwynn Forest.
