My first terrian - island scene [thegreatsmite]

well, heres my fist one ever. an island scene. took pictures from multiple areas.

Fix:
Picture 1:Add a fog and make the waterfall look bether.
Picture 2:The waterfall look ugly add a fog and rain.
Picture 3: End of the World wtf are we going to do???? well add a fog effect

The terrain is ok i hope u improve it!

Rain wouldnt fit this terrain, it needs a more sunny or lightblue fog which he already got on the first screenshot!

Fix the edge! And water falls don't fall down over dirt and sand :/ Add, some rocks within and around the edges, also it's kind of repetitive, with each fall being at the same height relative to the last one, make that a little more uneven (natural). And fog...

Best thing I can say about it are the angles.

To improve this the most, look at other peoples work. I recommend MadseN, Correxx, or Void (forgot [Death]). They are some of the best here.

Not bad at all for a first shot. I'd say you could use a change of water color. I personally think the default color doesn't look too good. Your terrain could also use some fog, as does every terrain, it really improves the overall look. I'd also suggest using the better looking waterfall model. You can find it in the Ultimate Terraining Map.

I like the last one. Reminds me of the first Crash Bandicoot, the level in the river where you had to jump on the leaves on logs.

Not bad for a first time terrainer. Keep it up!

I don't think any of them have ... water river island terrain. I do somewhere in my old showcase, 2nd one in the signature, I think at least. I feel so sad, I've never been redirected to D:

2 and 3 look bad but 1 and 4 look great. Add a low density light blue fog in the back ground.

If the third one continued out into the water instead of the end of the world, it would look great. You can see under the waterfall in number 2, that isn't good.
