Heya.
I was wondering something about the movementspeed in wc3.
Let's say a unit has 300 speed. Does that mean he moves 300 xxx (cm? or whatever blizz calls it) per second?
It is limited to 522 and it isn't possible to increase this value (with any editor, shift + enter value also doesn't work).
The only way to let something move faster is with some sort of missile system, you need to know some more advanced GUI or JASS for that, but I doubt you can make a missile system to actually move units the way they normally would, but then faster (because of the pathing system).
When a unit moves in-game, he always teleports short distances, that's the way every game makes a unit move, how else would you think they moved it? By using our huge biology knowledge and making the unit move it's muscles in the exact same way as we move? That way you're talking about is about moving a unit to a point every 0.01 seconds. So that is not really moving. You could make him play walk animation then but I think its nearly impossible to fake movement like that.
If it's for a spell, does the unit you're talking about fly? It's for an hyperspace spell, so in fact it's better if movement animation isn't shown![]()

The way I mean is the exact same way warcraft uses for normal movement...
(I always use 0.03 second btw, 3 times slower and still effective).
The problem is that warcraft uses a more or less advanced pathing system, which indicates exactly how the unit moves along a cliff, or which path it takes to go to it's destination.

(If yes: it's not too hard to do it).
