For the growing part, you can play with this trigger:

  • Avatar Cast
    • Events
      • Unit - A unit Starts the effect of an ability
    • Conditions
      • (Ability being cast) Equal to Avatar
    • Actions
      • Wait 0.00 seconds
      • Animation - Change (Triggering unit)'s size to (100.00%, 100.00%, 100.00%) of its original size
But, it looks weird for a second you're a normal size, and next, you instantly turns big, later on when spell is finished, you turned to normal size back

The real thing is, why don't you want to be big, and have its immunity be removed and still you're using Avatar as your base spell ?

Tell me what you really want to do, I'll try to help

You can however target the unit with its immunity on (by changing all unit in that map, having a Channel-based ability, so that you can target a unit even when it is on immune (Data - Options: Universal Spell)

oh I didn't knew this can be worked with triggers, well lets see I really don't like the growing part of the avatar cause its odd looking for me, and the spell immunity is too imbalance on a map I am working on.

just to make things easier, do you know any substitute for such spell instead of the avatar?

Well maybe you should tell your true intention lol...
You can use many kinds of way to gain damage and HP, one of it is using temporary Item Bonus Damage and Item Bonus Health and have it remove after set of duration

EDIT:
Or perhaps you use Avatar as your base spell so that you can time duration by looking at the bar at the User Interface ?
You can use Metamorphosis for that, it grants you bonus HP (for damage, use the Item Damage Bonus) but you're gonna need to set the Data - Alternate Form Unit and Data - Normal Form Unit, both must have the same model, for it not to bug.
