Unclear.

Do you mean:
  1. Changing the existing Mountain Giant, so that it comes out with the tree-club already equipped.
    In this case:
    - should it do siege damage and get the attack range bonus just like when he picks up a tree?
    - should it last for a limited amount of hits like when he picks up a tree?
    These data are needed to solve your request

  2. OR do you mean making any unit of your choice use the appearance of a mountain giant with the tree-club?
    In this case it's a simple Object Editor modification. First you assign the "Art - Model File" value to "Mountain giant", then you add to "Art - Required Animation Names" the string "upgrade".
    The question is similar in essence to: 3rd Tier Models? {Models with 3 tiers, where are the second and third tier models?}

    More on this: Why "upgrade"? You find it on the model: when you select a mountain giant in your units tab of the editor, in the lower left corner of the main window there is usually a small model previewer that shows you a mountain giant. You just scroll through its animations with the little arrows and you see that he has its animations duplicated and half of them are called "upgrade X". That's why. Other models might use "Upgrade first", "upgrade second, or "Morph". You check on the model itself and use the same word in the "required animation names" field.
