I was developing (long long ago) multiple RP maps. Many ideas, and many scenarios.
But they all ended incomplete. I just found it uninteresting to develop it further. I want my partners for modelling, sound, etc. to be in my area only since a lot of online partners have disappeared on me. Alas, even my partners here lost interest also.
Quite sad, but I don't think I'll ever make RP maps because of this.

Also, in one side, the development is VERY long and difficult than other genre, maybe arch rival of Campaigns, which means chances for developer to lost interest.
Though I have seen some Campaigns now start implement RP style play.
how does one define properly RP map tho? Different game's communities define RP(I guess you mean Role-playing?) differently. If the thingy in parenthesis is not true, I have no idea what this thread is about
