Modelling project!

Ok well I am just starting to skin and model......I have done a few crappy little skins so far (im not that good with art, especially when my photoshop program isn't as good as photoshop)

But when I try to send my reskinned models to people, they can't import them. I looked at all the tutorials I could and I couldn't get any help.


I would also like some pointers for a modelling project I want to undertake. I wish to make a hooded human/elf type guy, with big angels wings behind for a hero I designed for my group's AOS.


Any tips would be appreciated. Like what programs would work best for my project, where I can get a better photoshop perhaps, etc.

Btw:I have Magos, Viewers, and Animation transfer program, and a MDX pather.

Edit:yes I know this isn't a very good post to start out with....><

Use Oinkerwinkle's vertex modify, and geoset merger.

You can then rip the wings off the ressurect angel, merge them to the back of another model that you have made with a hood and ect.

Polish the model's vertecies in Modify.

Edit the stuff's properties, and polish it in magos.

Make the skin, Add the skin in magos. And then make the portrait the same way as stated above.

I also suggest reading the tutorials, and practicing with smaller less taxing model edits. You can gain a wealth of knowledge doing that.

Thanks. I have been praticing with acolyte model and its skin, modifying its skin a bit then reskinning the acolyte model. Took me awhile, but I got the hang of it. I do suppose I need to get Oinker, will do that later today.


Umm is there a tutorial on how to make a skin from scratch? I have enough trouble modifying skins.
