Is it possible to black out your mini map? Besides using the black mask thingy. I still cant figure out how to black out the mini map! Please help

YES you can have it

Use the World editor ..... Have a look at the menu where you can change the map name in loading screen etc.
Theres something like to hide regions which are not seen. Activate it.

here is the easiest way to make mini map black using game interface.
just remove or add some icon which cannot be loaded to Circle of power or Gold mine etc. icon for minimap. It works in my map
