Hello, when a melee unit attacks another unit and the attacked unit moves away, sometimes it is hit and sometimes the attacking unit misses. Can i find out somehow, how far must the attacked unit be from the attacker to be missed?

This is also somewhat affected by the units own range. In a map of mine I have one unit type with a very short melee range and it can't hit moving targets. Yet, all others can in most cases.

In short the range motion buffer is just the range a target may walk beyond max range of the attacker to still getting hit/have a projectile released. So of course attack range affects whether a target is hit.
