Mannoroth

This bundle is marked as pending. It has not been reviewed by a staff member yet.
Story

Mannoroth, known as "the Destructor" and "the Flayer", is the barbaric leader of the pit lords, serves as a commander of the Burning Legion in assaults on countless worlds and led the first invasion of Azeroth. His ruthlessness and vile cunning made him one of the favored lieutenants of his masters, Archimonde and Kil'jaeden, the champions of the Burning Legion.

Mannoroth's most infamous deed was corrupting the Orc race on Draenor with his blood, turning them into a ferocious, bloodthirsty, and Legion-controlled mighty army. The Orcs who drank his blood always had bloodthirsty crimson light burning in their eyes. Under the manipulation of Gul'dan and the Burning Legion, the Orcs brutally slaughtered the Draenei people on Draenor. Later, they invaded Azeroth through the Dark Portal, and thus triggering the First and Second Wars.

During the Third War, which is also known as the Burning Legion's second invasion of Azeroth, Mannoroth repeated his old trick. On Kalimdor, he used his blood to corrupt the Warsong clan and their chieftain Grommash Hellscream, who had been driven to desperation by Cenarius and the Nightelves, turning them into complete slaves of the Burning Legion. However, Grommash was eventually rescued by Thrall and Jaina Proudmoore. Afterwards, Thrall and Grommash confronted Mannoroth at the place that would later be known as Demon Fall Canyon. In the battle, Grommash broke through Mannoroth's defenses and cleaved open his chest. Mannoroth's death triggered a devastating explosion, which killed Grommash as well, as the two perished together.

Mannoroth symbolized the dark history of the Orcs being enslaved by demon blood and bloodthirsty desires, while his death meant that the Orcs had finally regained their freedom, able to build a new home in the lands of Kalimdor.

"Stupid, pitiful creature. I am the rage in your heart. I am the fury of your thoughts. I alone empowered you to bring chaos to this world, and by the endless void, you shall!"

While some of the animations require smoothness to reduce this linear judder, I particularly like the Spell 4, Spell Two and Spell Death, they look fitting, atmospheric and also complement the character of the hero. I like the new geometry of the hero: it is neat, proportional and not overloaded with details. The skin is also neat, eye-candy and really complements the geometry. In my opinion, this definitely looks like a decent reimagining of the SD+ style, as a series of models for a a visually improved Warcraft. Good job!

P.S. Would be a nice team with Taurer.

Only thing I could see so far was that the chain origin covered the small skull on the left shoulderpad.
This is intentional, because the skull is designed as a link between the chain and the armor. The chain cut the skull piece through a little hole (although I didn't model or texture this hole because it would be too detailed).

you should credit blizzard entertainment too since it's litterally a 1-1 recreation of the cinematic mannoroth too

do it
Crediting Blizzard Entertainment for regular Warcraft 3 models is not necessary and never has been. Also saying "do it" might come off as rude, manners costs nothing.

I don't see the slightest respect for the model author in your words.

If you really hate this model or this mannoroth type of model, you can simply ignore it instead of coming in and saying some disgusting things.

Anyway it doesn't change the fact that it is a excellent model

Who hurt you man? Why on every comment you make here you are passive-agressive?

Hiveworkshop is a place of respectuful and chill people, and every single of your comments are sticiking out like a sore thumb.

Relax…

cooooooool!

I love the explosion after his death.Like the cg which grommash killed him

Friends, I have a question. How do you trigger the death spell? When a unit dies, it just plays the death animation directly.

1.To use it as a death animation, rename it to Death and delete the original Death animation.

2.For skill animations, refer to the Goblin Sappers (地精工兵的自爆).

3.For cutscene animations, use the Trigger Editor.
