Magos model editor without war3

I'm away from my PC with war3 and modelling programs. I use a laptop that's pretty slow for war3 and I don't have the game installed on it. I feel sorry I can't play but I thought 'hey I can still do models and test them without the game, it's as if I'm at home!'. So, I have Milkshape but for some reason the Magos editor doesn't work. I unzip the file, start Magos and get the error message: 'Unable to create a new swap chain'. Is it because I don't have war3 with all the MPQs, etc. ? Can I use it without the game or?

Magos use's wc3 mpq's and dlls etc. So you need war3 (and updated) for it to work
