What, you mean those days when you actually had to have skill in terraining, not SFXing? Yeah, those were fucking great.. I feel almost guilty for making the first terrain using that after MadseN's contest one :/...

Fail to see the terrain here. It's empty sand, a bunch of building models... and... that horrid sun. /shudder

These sunlight rings should be aligned. They are too messy.
Remeber that oasis aren't grassy dots in the middle of nowhere. There is a transition between the desert and the oasis vegetation. It can be represented shorter than it is actually, but not THAT short.

The 2nd picture looks a bit to random now, if you just added more ruin stuff (half-under) in the sand in the first picture. Would look better.
