Tbf he shot himself in the foot with the Blood Elves. The person who really got proven right was Daelin Proudmoore, he did nothing wrong and was completely proven right in the end.

Tbh I've always decided to ignore the fact that Blizzard made Garithos a joke. If you think about it this way, he is really badass and quite competent

After playing Garithos Human Campaign, I returned to this model. It's really great, though it had some issues, which I fixed—including the HP bar height. Comparison: red - old, blue - updated
upd. Added a white armor version with alternate animations. Might be useful for Garithos' Avatar Ability.
