Lag when using site?

For some reason scrolling on this site is laggy for me.
For instance it skips and shows cuts on the screen like part of it wasn't cleaned up in the screen refresh.

I am using firefox (latest vers) and all of my other 8 tabs scroll just fine.
My computer is good with plenty of ram and a good cpu.

I notice that even this thread submission page lags. Mousing over the icons for things like "quote" and "bold" shows a delayed and sluggish response on the UI and alt-tags.

This might be because there's a bad connection between you and Hiveworkshop site.
Or something else...
