Basics -

Okay, Well, I'm about 60% of my way through making a Karazhan map for Warcraft 3.

It starts where you select 10 heroes from the Hero Taverns, and then use those heroes to run through the instance, Beating bosses + Monsters and picking up equipment that will help you with the next boss, etc.

Advanced? -

I've made the map of Karazhan, and implemented it, it needs a few changes but it's basically done, Complete with about 200-250 Monsters and all of the bosses (Attumen, Moroes, Maiden of Virtue, Romulo + Julianne (Opera), Nightbane, Curator, Terestrian Illhood, Shade of Aran, Netherspite, Chess and Prince Malchezaar.

I'm Thinking of making the map into part of a Campaign with Multiple maps (So a Central Hub, Say Shattrath City, and then Via Portals access to other maps (Kara, Gruuls Lair, Tempest Keep, Zul'Aman) Maybe even do Azeroth.

The map works with Little / no errors, No victory Conditions as such, just play until you want to stop, and it takes a few hours and a few tries to beat the level, as some bosses, (Nightbane, Prince) Are extremely difficult to kill.

At the moment, i'm only using models from W3, but i'm tempted to try to import some from WoW for certain bosses (Curator and Moroes) and for Certain heroes (Rogues), as there is nothing really free with W3 that makes for good ones.

Currently i have no experience with doing Skins/importing into maps, and this is my first serious map.

If anyone wants to help, just contact me on here.

The Map Contains -

48 Different Custom Units, each with Loot Tables
Currently 40 Different Custom Items, Each with Bonuses.
34 Custom Abilities
10 Custom Hero Types (Working on having 30-40)
Loot Tables for Every Monster bar Prince Malchezaar
Reasonably Large Map

Alternately you could provide CONSTRUCTIVE Criticism rather than just saying it's lame.

I aree with void, terrain sucks and seriously needs to be improved. people seem to forget about the importance of a nice terrain. Wich was the collest about the dungeon in wow: they looked cool. And this looks plain nooby. if you want to improve give it a more dark feeling. avoid those ugly cliffs. perhaps change the terrain to dalaran ruins.

1. Change to Dalaran Ruins tileset, Karazhan isn't what it used to be you know, it's broken and destroyed.
2. The cliffs are just too meh, use doodads or download a doodad for walls.
3. Add more doodads, the map just looks to dang plain at the moment, imo.

You got work to do.

Please make the text more readable by using light colors, not purple. I can't see what the text is without selecting them.

Still the idea is really neat, but I wish the dungeon looked a bit more Karazhan-like.

I have already expressed my interest to you in helping you in this massive project you are thinking about taking on. But I can tell you that Malc's room is wrong since his room is basically some kind of connection to another world. So, I will make my own request for this project right now...

As you can see, the gloomy area comes complete with dark floating rocks. So, since I have no idea about work in editors, does anyone want to change the color/slightly edit the warcraft III outland rocks to fit the room? Im sure there are people interested in seeing how this map works out.

Zorini has already begun re-terraining Karazhan. Him and I have teamed up to create a massive WoW raid series, where you can get gear to go to the higher level raids. For more information on this, see the Multi-raid/zone project in Project Recruitment.
