Item Triggering Effect

I made 2 treads about that but each time it don't get answered after a few days even tho i try to bumb or what so ever so i managed to do a bit on my own but i still need some help...

I have a trigger that equip item when i click, on that unequip when you say -unequip (part)

I wan some way to permanently modify defence without using a buff (unless i can make a lot of them on one unit) because there are: Chest armors, Helms, Shoulders Pads, Wrists, Gloves, Legs, Ect... to equip.

Any trigger line doing that would help me, or a way to make an item make you gain perma defence bonus on use.

I do use the object editor...........
I wan a PERMANENT effect like a tome that give defence. That can't be cone in item or ability editors, all ic an do it give it while the hero have it in the inventory, as soon as i use it it disapear...

(PERMANENT: Stat directely modified, exemple: a unit have 1+3 def, use a 10 item def he will have 11+3, not 1+13)

Well the problem is... Some items give 1 def, others 3 or even 5 and recipes may give 10... Darn it... Maybe i can make a lvl 100 ability that give 1 to 100 def ad it level it by the defence the item give, is that possible? Anyway i dont have the time to work on my map now i'll look into that later or tomorow and am gona check here too in case someone come up with a miracle for me. :cute: (please someone do that!!)

Hey. Upgrades. If each player has just 1 hero, make a bunch of upgrades that give different defense bonuses to heroes only. There's a flag under techtree in units where you can set which upgrades that apply to the unit. Make items like Glyph of Fortification, but make the items give your various defense upgrades instead.

This of course won't work if you need to give the bonus to individual units owned by the same player.

Can a upgrade be undone? I'm gonna explain the whole situation because i think you guys misunderstand the problem.

It's a hero defence like enfo, with 3 type of armors, light medium and heavy, for each a type of hero like caster, tanker and all. The character can buy the items on shops, there are 3 set of items for each type of character (3 heavy set, 3 medium set, 3 light set) and each set has: Helm, Shoulder pads, Chest armor, Wrists, Gloves, Belt, Leg pads and boots. the character can equip them by clicking on the item (make it dissapear) and unequip with -unequip chest for example.

Meaning, the hero can buy 8 piece of armors and have a choise of 3 for each and must be able to euqip/unequip it, so gaining/losing the bonus at any time.

The player have only one hero too, and some items are recipe! (the third set is made by fusing parts of the 2 other set and a specific item)

Didn't think about weapons/jewelery yet because only the armors give me some problems because of the defence and i think that damage will be as hard to change...
