Maybe the shop doesn't have the "select unit" ability? I'm not completely sure what you're saying.

Yea, if your selling shop does not have a 'Select unit' ability, the thing that puts the big arrow above the buying unit, the item simply drops at the base of the seller.

it has a the big arrow above the buying unit and it wont let me pick it up
