Dear all,

I am wondering if anyone knows of a tutorial/site/thread explaining how one gives an item an attack.

By which I mean, if a unit with an inventory holds the item, that unit gains a specific attack. Examples of maps that do this include

  • Battleships (etc.)
  • Tank Wars
  • Paladin TD

Or is the best way to try and deprotect one of these maps and look? (Thhen I would lose any meaninful trigger information - mos have been "optimised (Hashed the function names))

Cheers all, and thanks

Thanks - will give it a try. Have had a loop at the unprotected battleships map on this site - It's abilities are based off phoenix fire.

Take care, L

============={EDIT}===============

It seems these attacks ignore armour, is this true? (I.E. is it spell damage?)

There's one more ability like "Phoenix Fire" - rockets that appear on Human Siege Engines after upgrading. They allow them to attack air targets.

One more thing is orbs. Orbs are made by that scheme:
all Heroes even the melee ones already have air attack but it's locked (Combat - Attacks On - Only 1). In the ability which is provided by an orb, u can find Index of Attack field where is 2 - it turns on the second attack but replaces its missile animation with own animation.
