well if you have 3dstudio go to utilities tab hit more and there it is in the list. if you don't have 3dstudio then the only way for counting polys is to convert them to some popular format and use a mesh viewer that has that function. Or you could use Ultimate Unwrap with the warcraft III plugs to read the model file and tell you how many polys does it have (www.unwrap3d.com)
