In the object editor, we can always rotate an object/doodad's facing to it's sides by holding the ctrl key and clicking the mouse to where you want the object to face.
But I have another question.
Supposed you want to rotate the object top to bottom (not raise it but rotate it like a wheel running). Is there a hotkey for this? Or do I really need to change it's roll angle in the object editor everytime I want the object to roll?

You have to do it in the Object Editor. You can't roll an object ingame either.

Considering there is now a 1.24c patch....is there a hotkey for that? It shouldn't be rolling it in-game...but u should be able to change the roll-angle which it faces in editor. I sure hope so, coz using the object editor can be tiring sometimes?

Damn, I was kinda thinking that there was a hotkey for it after looking at this guy's terrain. http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/members/135740-albums73-picture10786.png

I was a bit confused regarding the angles the doodads faced, about how he did it..He must've created duplicates of the doodad and set each different duplicate in different angles....that's difficult, especially for a laggy computer like mine.

My advice to you is, especially if you think he's using doodads, you shouldn't set your sights on a project as ambitious as his, so soon in your editing career.
