Hey Everyone,
I'm new to the site and thought best to actually give an introduction that is somewhat reasonable (joined last night, wouldn't have been the greatest introduction with a tired mind) to look at and understandable.
let me first off by saying i've been playing warcraft 3 Frozen throne for years and throughout that time i've been immersed in all different styles of map making from simple melee maps to Full blown Open Roleplay games of all different types.
having been immersed in such fantastic creations by all different people with the mind to create and share, i started working on creating maps of my own. now none of my creations were ever released (alright only one creation was in the progress before it was lost due to my late laptop blew a hard drive and took everything with it) mostly due to alot of the maps i was playing with were standard melee maps turned custom in attempts to understand the Map Editor and also understand how to add and use Custom models.
after having got some head knowledge i started working on my own map as stated above it was lost along with hours upon hours of mapping that i had done in preparation to start working on the inner mechanics of my map.
after the lost i stepped away from the map making for a time and all but disappeared from the warcraft 3 community for reason i won't talk about in this, but the map i had put hours in was still there in the back of my mind waiting for a time when i would finally step back up to the plate and try again.
well i eventually came back(more like just recently), after being gone from the warcraft 3 community i started to get bored and reinstalled my copy onto my laptop i use now and suddenly realized of everything i had been missing the whole time i was gone. having been brought back into the influence of Map making i decided i would join here in hopes of learning from those who have done it and have the experience of being an efficient map maker, all the while returning to and rethinking my map design, Genre, mechanics and so on.
I hope i can learn from those within the Hive Workshop Community and maybe show off the hours of work i know will be to create my map and share it with everyone to enjoy.
all in all Thank you to those who created such a wonderful website with so much to offer and also thank you to those who created the maps that i have come to be inspired by to create what i hope to be just as good as the maps i now play and host alot of on battlenet.
Cheers,
Kazus
