Increase Image Resource Size

I find myself having to maximize the size overall of the page (via browser) when viewing just so that the image preview and other text are bigger. Thoughts and suggestion to be able to increase the image preview size per resource? There seems to be enough real estate available for making the image bigger (offering bigger preview image).

That's usually kind of a flawed statement as what would you do when you browse on your phone, your tablet, etc. Those devices amount to 30% of the sites viewers.

But I agree. The preview picture might be 80% of the value when scrolling and only takes up 10% of the space.
