do u mean to increase the size of the effect ?

if u do u have to create a dummy invisible unit at the positions u want the effect and add the effect to the dummy unit.
note u have to change the scale of the unit. this is wat determines how big the effect will be.
Oh god no...

Abiding via Hell_Master's condition that you don't need X variations (meaning you only need one variation of this buff)

Export the buff model
Open Magos wc3 model editor
Open your buff model
Go to model editor
Click Selection -> select all
Click Transformations -> scaling
Edit to your liking
Saved the model
Import to your map

I'm not sure I'm following the flow of discussion but why not make a dummy unit wherein the model file is immolation then just attach that unit via triggers?
Because then you'd have to do more triggers in order to generate the unit, delete him, make him follow the unit he's attached to, ect...
it's best to make it as efficient as possible when it comes to triggers, or programing in general; this may not seem like much stress to the CPU, but things can add up...
