importing problems

well I'm using maya then export it to fbx then import it to 3ds max 5 then export it to mdx that's the process I should do so I won't lose the animation but I always crash when importing the fbx to 3ds max 5... can anyone help me on this one?
 
uhmm can you clarify what were you trying to say? 3ds max 5 can only edit mdl files not mdx but you can use some other tools to edit mdx file such as war3modeleditor tools and many more and I think my problem is really different from yours
