I am having scads of trouble importing custom models......I have read the tutorial thingy, and what you hace to do is make the path of the file you're importing a custom path, and erase the war3imported part, right? Well, that only works some of the time....most of the time, though, all I get is the well known green cube. Please help me........................

you don't erase the war3imported part, you erase the war3imported\ part ;)

can you post the model you have problems with? it is possible that the model is corrupted?

are you sure you have restarted your world editor after importing the model?

does it work in-game/in editor only?

Some important points to remember:
  1. Model files (.mdx) never need custom paths, they always remain:
    war3mapImported\ModelName.mdx

  2. Custom textures (those .blp files not included in Warcraft III) do require their own special paths. Models downloaded from our Hive always show such custom paths in red text

  3. Become very familiar with the procedures described in
    How to Import Custom Models

Never tried that............

Huh.....I didnt know that......I always put a custom path on the models; it seems that that's my mistake. Thanks, I'll try it.

Also, about the model corrupted thing, I doubt it; its happened with quite a few models. Also, yes I have tried saving and opening and stuff.

Thanks to both of you.
