why not pick it up the existing war 3 models and tesselate them using 3dsmax, maya or blender? war 3 uses bones, so it isn't a nightmare that uses vertex.
the idea is to pick the models and add the necessary polygon upgrade to make it close to the SC2 releases, and also keep the original textures, the Q1 remaster did that.
