Human Monk Mistweaver (WoW)

A port of a WoW character wearing Mistweaver Monk gear. It has animations for melee combat and spellcasting. I ported this whilst following this tutorial: Rip models from WoW into Warcraft 3 by Maldiran, who requested people share their results.

The leg is a bit wonky on some of the attack animations but it's not particularly noticeable in game (imo) and is beyond my abilities to fix. This model is provided as is and feel free to use/edit it as you see fit, no need to credit.

Credits: Blizzard Entertainment (Everything)

Edit: Also uploaded an icon to go with the model

Update 19.04.2021: Changed ambiguous 'Spell' animation to 'Spell Throw'

Update 21.05.2025 (by @Navy):
  • Deleted all the duplicated geosets (768Kb)
  • Renamed some of her animations correctly
  • Rescaled the model to have same scale as a Warcraft 3 Hero
  • Fixed attachment points and some issues with the staff
  • Optimized the model properly (2Mb down from 17.7Mb)

Hello! I've downloaded this model, did some testing and I can offer my review. I like this model and since the author has been inactive for many years I decided to spend some time and do some of the fixes: Deleted all the duplicated geosets (768Kb)...

In the next update I will fix her eyes aswell. At this moment it's enough to set to Approved (Recommended).

I'm glad you did this, thanks! Something about the beautiful nature of the Warcraft 3 modding community - I'm now downloading your improved version of my own work to use on a new pc.

It's nice to hear that. Only her eyes need to be fixed. Want me to leave that to you?

Hmm see I don't think I have much of an artistic view of things perhaps, I hadn't noticed an issue but now you mention it they are somewhat warped.

Honestly, I wouldn't know where to begin when it comes to fixing them - you're welcome to if you'd like. For my part, I would only fix them if I managed to ever reach the 'polish' stage of a given project... I don't even have a simple demo ready (though I'm close haha). I lost a lot of files and therefore progress when I lost my old PC sadly.

Alright, np, I'll take care of it.

Try using GoogleDrive for backups, it's pretty useful
