Hi all, I have made a competitive 1v1 melee map and playing it on B.net with people. We are enjoying it quite well as i'm getting positive feedback from people, but there seems to be a problem with my editor as it seems to be running on an old patch. For example Items from goblin merchant and some tech requirements for buildings and units are from an old patch. I know for sure my game is updated to version 130.4.11274 to be exact and I am playing online with no issues. I know my question may sound silly as i'm not that good with these things but it seems I am not able to update my editor. Any help appreciated..

Here's my guess: in Scenario > Map Properties > Options tab, you need to set Game Data Set (at the bottom of the window) to "Melee (latest patch)"

I am guessing your "competitive 1v1 melee map" is not a melee map hence it is using RoC/TFT release balance instead. This is what happens in default dependency mode when one makes a custom map (not a melee map). Do what Sieben suggested and force it to link to latest melee balance and it should be what you intend. Be aware that any custom object editor data might be subject to melee balance changes as a result of this, hence why for custom maps it is generally not recommended.

If I make a map that complies with all rules of a melee map according to guides on this website in particular, meaning no custom units, no triggers, no custom items, is it not then considered a melee map? It is just like any of the official blizzard maps you play. So i do not understand why you don't want to call it a melee map.. :p How about Custom Melee Map then? :p I call it "competitive" because it has some aggressive gameplay terrain-wise..

Anyways I think it worked and thanks a lot for the quick response guys!!
