[Spell] how to make a spell

Use Thunder Clap (War Stomp not recommended because it stuns) or Fan of Knives as a base. Copy the ability, paste it, modify the appropriate fields for damage, range, cooldown, etc.. Import that model properly (might need to change its path when imported, but usually not for SFX) then save, close, and re-open your map. Change the model fields of your new ability to use the imported model file.

If there really aren’t any fields for sound effects in the ability you copied and pasted, you’ll probably need to find one that DOES have those fields and make a new ability based on it. Then also dummy cast that new ability (when the AE ability is cast) whose only purpose is to provide sound. Playing sounds with triggers is a little annoying.
