you can use the normal WC3 save system for Founding of Durator. so you should find a good save/load code for you RPG map if you're planning to make it multiplayer, because most RPGs are pointless without them.

If you want to actualy make an RPG have atleast 2 weeks clear or semi-clear of any activity. Because everntualy, you get to bored and cant work on a project, this is the downfall of most mapmakers.

However, a good rpg can take months, even with a full team.

But if you want something basic to test the editor out:
Open the editor

Go into Window > New Pallate > Terrain
Place some grassy terrain & random deformations.
Use the dropbox to change to doodads.
Find trees\destructible section in the second dropdown box.
Place some trees.
Find envorment in the second dropdown menu.
Place some brush ect.
Make a hero, and four spells.
Make a small town with a few units.
Make two triggers.

Congrats, you win. Now add a save/load code, 100 more heros, 1000 more tirggers, and better terrain.

Thats better :p.
