How to import WC3 Models

Hi, i use 3D Max and i am a quiet good 3D low poly artist. I want to make some models for a nice map but i just want to edit existing models.

In particukar, i want to take the blizzard wizzard off his horse and put a female on its bak. Maybe the sorc model or the NE girls riding the hunts. Now, heres my prob. How can i ex/import models, are there tools to download or tutorials ?

What version of 3Ds Max do you have?

If you have 5 then go to this post by whitehorn that has the importing exporting scripts.
