How to get a GIF as avatar

I see people with them but when i tried to upload my own it doesn't play. Is it a privilege thing? or did i just mess up the internets.

I think the file size needs to be below 100kb, I've had issues like that, just try resizing your gif image.

It must also be no larger than 100x100 pixels.
The resizing of the .gif picks up one frame and displays it.

but its also 740kb so that might be a problem lol

Think there might be some decent, as in "not so shabby you'll ram your face down a blener", editors you could turn to online if you want to trim down the filesize a bit.

Don't expect too much of it though, you usually get exactly what you pay for.

Use No dithering, it can save you as much as 200KB, you will need to cut as it has to be unter 350KB, it basically appears in several qualities, that's how I managed to get mine + animation cut. But thank Ralle's choice for not boosting that size a little bit. Mapster also isn't, 4chan yet it works fine even at 2 MB.
