[Solved] How to calculate percentage?

After 23 years of Warcraft III modding, it seems i forgot how to do that at the moment.

• Melee Initialization
  • Events
    • Time - Elapsed game time is 0.25 seconds
  • Conditions
  • Actions
    • Set TempInt = (50 x (10 / 100))
    • Game - Display to (All players) the text: (String(TempInt))

Why it says 0?
50 x 10 / 100 = 5 As far as i know? I am trying get 5% of the 50

Because of the brackets it's 50 x 0.1 = 0.5 and integer rounds it back to 0 I assume

In this case you could use something like 50 x 0.05

Reforged 2.0 changed some formula standards and (unless they have fixed it again) some times real values are incorrectly rounded down (even from 1 down to 0).

Set TempInt = (50 x (Integer(0.05)))
Still it gives 0.

Set TempInt = (50 x (Integer(0.05)))
Still it gives 0.

Converting 0.05 to an Integer will round it down to 0.
50 x 0 = 0.

Do all of the Real math first, then convert the final result to an Integer:

• Set TempReal = (50.00 x 0.05)
• Set TempInt = (Integer(TempReal)

Stan, the whole problem here was that the operation you showed will always evaluate to 0 if current and max are both also integers.
