How Long Has Hive Been Alive?

i've been using hiveworkshop for about a year, and been seeing posts from like 2006. so i was wondering, when was it created?

Well Warcraft 3 Reign of Chaos was released in 2002 but I don't think any serious modding was done until The Frozen Throne which was released in July of 2003. I've seen posts as early as 2004 so I would guess that the site was created between 2003-2004.

I only just joined so I really don't know ^-^

Created in 2004. That is the earliest. I joined over a year ago, so I've seen a lot of posts.

The Hive Workshop was created a very long time ago, and in that time it was Ralle's personal site for his WH40K Tower Defense map. On the other hand WC3Sear.ch was alive since approx 2003-04. Since the owner of WC3Sear.ch lost interest in his site, the Hive and WC3Sear.ch merged together in the beginning of 2007. So the Hive as it is today became at 2007. That's when a lot of resources, users and posts were merged in.

Yeah, wc3sear.ch existed before THW, and it looked pretty much like this. All the users and posts were transferred when Ralle and VGsatomi merged the two sites, after Darky29 (would be some other number by now, I think, but this is the user name he's stored on) joined the army and left the site in a state of chaos. That's why you're seeing posts from before 2007.

I'm not sure when wc3sear.ch came online, but considering Darky joined 09-29-2003, I'd say it's been around since then.
