How I make to import WC3 models in the Gmax?

How I make to import WC3 models in Gmax?
I want edit one Wc3 model (My friend make, I will edit) on Gmax, but the format MDX dont open in Gmax, I can convert this to the format *.gmax?
If I can, why?

i didnt get anything im guessing you want to open an mdx in gmax? look in our tools section first
