How do you attach a skin to a model?

Uh, does that mean like I change the path of the skin in the import manager to a path of a model that already exists? Like units\human\Militia\Militia.mdl for example?

a skin is not a model, each model has a skin, the author has probably provided the path for it, if he didnt then you will have to guess for which model that skin is and find the path.
for the militia the skin path is Units\Human\Militia\PeasantMilitia.blp

I already knew that a skin was different than a model btw :p

Anyways, that clears up a little bit. The path that he gave with the model is: units\Critters\VillagerKid1\VillagerKid1/blp

Im still not sure how to attach the skin to the model... Could you explain it a little better please?

It just will not work for me. What I've gotten out of all these posts so far is that I'm supposed to put the path of the skin that the guy who made it said it was (units\Critters\VillagerKid1\VillagerKid1/blp) and then save and quit the map, load it up again and then open up the object editor, select the unit I want the skin attatched to, go to the model file and in the custom: part, put that path.

Is this correct? If not, what am I doing wrong?
