Use a map protector program. You should search on google and find one that suits your needs. I recommend protecting maps so that people can't create cheat maps. However, this screws over the community, since people can't learn from your map, and you probably learned from other people's maps. To compromise, release an unprotected version that has modified (and very boring terrain.) About map Protecting

I think map protection is a banned subject here at the Hive.
If im correct could a mod close and recycle bin this?

How do I protect a map so I can let everyone DL it without the fear of all those bastards out there.

There is no way to completely protect a map.. there are still ways to crack into it. But, you can try google for one. I believe Thehelper.net has some on their tutorials page.

This is how I do mine.

Open map, save as (mapname)(P) so you have a copy => create a blank Microsoft Word file => Open your imort manager and Import the word file => Double click the file and tick the 'custom path' box => change it to war3map.wtg then save.

There ya go, protected map.
