I wonder how i do making to wield the custom helmet to units. How do i do that? Any help please?
Ok Arcando there are somethings you need to know about this.
1. Does your model already have a helmet - If yes you need to edit the model with some tools, by just removing the helmet. If no continue to #2
2. Do you want your custom helmet be held by a item or the whole entire time? If you choose item procced to #3 if it's the whole game procced to #4
3. IF HELMET IS A ITEM: Start up World editor, go to the import manager import the helmet, after you've done that go to the Object Editor. Go to Abilities tab, create a ability, but this ability will have nothing in it's effect (in other words a dummy ability) Base the ability off Devotion Aura, make all the Data 0.00 (Data-Armor Bonus) and remove Art- Target Attachement points and model.
Switch Art- Model File with your helmet, then go to Art- Target Attachement Point 1 and place in this String: head.
Go to Art- Target Attachements and put in 1 in it.
Now you need to say Is it a Item ability? Checkmark it to true, and the hero ability to false.
Create a new item in the Items tab, do what ever you want with the item and place in for Abilities the dummy ability you've just made. Start up a test map with the item, so when the hero or unit picks up the item he will have the helmet on him.
#4 IF YOU WANT IT TO STICK WITH HIM FOR THE WHOLE GAME - It's almost the same as #3 but instead of saying Is it a Item Ability? You place it to false and if it's a hero ability to false. Give the unit or Hero the dummy ability and do a test map of it, he should have his helmet on. You will never see the helmet in the world editor only In-game.
