For buildings do following:
1. Select your building (in object editor)
2. Set ''Is a Building'' to false
3. Search (Control + F) to ''Level'' until you find ''Stats - Level''
4. Modify level
5. Set ''Is a Building'' to true.

BTW you can set default flying height of structures to exp you want them to give
(any unit with movement type foot or none will only fly in editor)
and trigger
Event -unit dies
Condition-killing unit belongs to an enemy of owner of unit (dying unit)
Action-add (default flying height of (dying unit)) experience to (your unit)
