How can I add attachment points in a model using Gmax?

Hey guys. I'm now into modeling and dividing my Wc3 modding work and spending some time on 3D modeling. I used Gmax which I downloaded a week ago and it was cool and efficient.

I learned basic primitives and making basic and complex models using them, and also mesh editing and even basic Animation. It was fun though, but one problem remains.

How can I add attachment points to my model using GMax? (attachment points, like origin, overhead, left hand, right hand, .etc)

[The only modeling tools I have are Gmax and War3ModelEditor. I use it to add Particle Emitters. Plus Notepad for manual MDL editing]

If there is an alternative way of adding att. pts. then please tell it to me clearly for me to understand, especially manual MDL editing! Some helpful answers are welcome, thanks in advance.
