Hive donation system?

I have no idea if this has been discussed before, but what do you think of a "donation" system, where you can help hive creative members by donating any amount of money?

Something like a donate button on each resource directly linked to the member's profile (maybe a hive cut too?)

pros:
*reward for good work and time invested (of course);
*even a few cents can help a lot, especially for users from third countries: p;
*extra user motivation to develop new projects;

what you guys think?

I think we might be too small to warrant the effort. People can use Patreon/Paypal and link to it in their profile/resources/signature.
