Kirin Tor Warmage

Well, this is my entry for Texturing Contest #8 - Melee Heroes. A redesign of the Bloodmage to make it human, yet still fit the class.

Since I've brought back some of my old icons, I thought I might as well bring back some of my textures too, this, obviously, being one of them.

Have fun, and give credits if you use it!

67chrome: Overall you did a rather nice job on this. The only things that really stand out to me are the gems and the cape. The shading on the cape is rather harsh, and doesn't give the impression that the cape is folded so much as made of different rectangular strips. As for the gems, using white to differentiate the segments is usually more effective than using black. For shiny objects I'd highly recommend a google image search to get the right look.

Nah the crystals are good..
Amazing skin Chr =) one of my favorite skins on hive.

green eyes, blue crystals, purple cloak, brown and grey clothing, skin colour and player colour... Man... That is some rainbow imagination xD
Looks awesome though. But if you could try making the crystals maybe player colour...? It might looks a little better because the colours don't fully fit. They looked mixed. Although I would maybe have to download and test this and then see how it works.

I think most of the crystal aren't TC-able (if not all). Then again, I'm not entirely sure as I haven't tested it, but I know for a fact that the crystals around his head have to be like that.
Also, I disagree about the colors not fitting. It's usually not the amount of colors that count, but their tone. As you can see, all of these colors have a slightly grey tone, which, at least in my opinion, serves as a link, allowing these colors to fit one another.

This skin is pretty good. For it to be perfect I would remove the crystals. But congrats anyway, i'm gonna use it in my upcoming campaign.
