Actually, why make a dummy unit? Just make a trigger, "When unit is sold" "Move sold unit to [region]"
It's a lot easier then going through thew hassle of making a dummy unit.
This has nothing really to do with the question i asked wouldnt that just moves the heroe when its purchased not making no selection unit needed?

What is the purpose of giving the unit the locust ability?
So are you saying that it is not possible to make it where there are no selction units needed to choose a hero from a tavern? (that was my original question)

But my taverns abilities are all set to the default, I just changed the units sold and so that it doesnt show up on the map as a nuetral unit dot (check box).... but thats all I've changed.

Ok well thanks for the comments guys but my question is stil not answered fully... I know you can create an invisible unit near the tavern as the selectable unit... but that just gives the appearance that no unit is there. I could use this idea for my map, but the question i still never got answered was "Is it possible to make a hero taverns heroes purchasable without a selection unit needed for the tavern to sell to?"
