Name: Cat chases Mouse. Edit New version!
Map Creator: Daskunk/Heretodlstuff
Helpers: Evan1993 - Made the Multiboard for death/alive stats.
Stats: Beta
Description:There are two sides the mice and the cats. The mice get ahead start. They are suppose to run away and build lots of walls and upgraded walls and get a mouse factory ( Main building like town hall) And build small mice ( workers). if there is no trees ( the only resource mice really use) they can use they're ability called seeds to grow trees. Later on they can get towers, and aggressive units. Cats are suppose to chase mice and kill them. It is important that they creep, it makes them stronger and gets them gold for items. They can learn dig, that digs up trees and damages buildings, and stealth, witch allows them to go invisible, smell, witch pings a mouse on the mini map.
Random Things: The mini map pings the shop because the shop is always moving. The other ping is the cave that you can go into. For one part of the map you need to by a boat, to get to the island. Later in the game "hunter cats" spawn for the cats, To help them chase the mice. Another special spot down at the bottom of the map if a spot were some bundle of lumbers are laying around, and when mice harvest trees there they re-grow, but the area is guarded by ogre’s, a spike pit, and a place were roots entangle you.

Pleas test and tell me bugs, or criticism\ ideas.

50 views and 3 DLs?? Come on test it for buggs! I THINK I might have uploaded wrong vers....Im attaching the one I think might be right,so can the people who DL them before see if there differnt?
Btw The battle.net people Liked it and asked for RM! Im working on the next version right now... Edit: I did the right one!

Some people just don't both dling something unless the creator has rep or alot of posts... Im sure there is nothing wrong with it, I'll cheak it out later.

WOW this map owns from all the maps that are related to it you now with the golems island defenders this map is going to rock 5/5 :D

Ok its a good concept, with some good ideas and you must have worked hard on it but it still has a long way to go in my oppion. You made some basic mistakes in the tooltips and and multiboard layout. The multiboard should have two different "sections" to help tel the differance between teams. The terrain needs some work,(some of it is wierdly done). Other than that keep up the good work! GJ + GL

Yes its under construction, but pleas give names of mistakes. The multiboard is hard,so hard my brother Evan1991 is makeing it not me. He's working hard on it.

Next version is done but i dont have time to upload ATM. I fixed the AI in it, and some bug. The last update i didnt tell you about made it so when cats die they respawn as kittens, that are weaker,and some more changes/updates. EDIT!!I uploaded screenys, and updatded map!!

Bug/thoughts

I havnt seen the new version but these are my thoughts on the last one:
I played the map again and it was quite alot of fun when i was a mouse ( i was a cat last time and the mice didnt move ). Some of the things i didnt like were:

Using a skin texture as an icon :/
The flying trees on the seed ability ( always after the trees spawn )
Some of the terrain ( that little maze thing? )
The mini map pinging, theres no need to ping the moving shop cuz it appears on the mini map anyway?
Some of the unit tooltips should be longer...
Some of the tooltips are defult. :/
The main building had some random human upgrade?
Thats all i can remember atm...

The AI didnt work in old version, that should be fixed in this version.

The game was decent, the terraining was fine..could've been better, i found that the beginning of the game was awkward but it all made sense later, by awkward i mean- i started with an army of cheese item's with vision, and there were the cat's. The models were fine, you used good sense's of improvision, (tinted rabbit). I think you could have chosen better model's for the cheese chunk's, and the building's. The cheese chunk looks a bit brown then yellow.. Overall its your average everyday tag, cat vs mouse, chasing game. It is certinaly likable, but also forgettable, not much in it that makes it a really unique game. Still fun though.

New version:
-Heal changed becuas it gave fatal errors
-Loading screen clearly tells you what items to get
-Cheat added (look in quest it tells you about it)
-Starting for cats fixed
-more stuff I forgot! :p
Sorry this version DOSE give errors. It is a problem withh the map optimizer. Sooooo i have to talk to the person who MADE the optimizer, witch will be awhile. Sorry

First of all, what optimizer are you using?

Then some answers:

Get rid of the art for seed, or delay the tree creation.
When a upgrade is being upgraded it has the defult tooltip.
The terrain is the bit just above the starting area with the dirt tile.

When I delayed the tree creation, the trees never got made....some how it bugged it.
When a upgrade is being upgraded it has the defult tooltip.

Me and amy brothers had a private contest, and this was my entery. The contest map had to be: 1-An orc base. 2.Funny 3. barrens tileset. Mine won the contest, due to the fact that the other people forgot the goldmines in there map, making them UN-playble. Also, mine scored highest in funny factor. NOTE: This is a single player map, ONLY go in this first spot, and fill the rest with computers.

Explodeing Goblins: This is a map like footmen frenzy, ecept it spawns goblin sappers, and the goblin sappers health is constantly going down, and when one explodes, it explodes the next, cuasing huge cool chain reactions. See attached images.

Phillip And Scrump seems pretty cool. It's unprotected so I took a quick look. The opening cinematic is detailed (and skipable). The quest menu has a lot of items on it. I did not play the whole thing but it looks OK (except for the numerous (mostly Unit Group) trigger leaks (and spelling errors)).

I added some tables so you can see how they work. Just fill in the title and descriptions for your screenies.

"Cat Chases Mouse" is a thread that I had forgotten already existed.

HeretoDLstuff and Mini-Me: Do you guys think that BOTH threads should be merged together to keep these map previews in the same thread?
