Help with skinning!

Hi everybody.
I have been working on a owlbear skin and then i get this problem.

As you can see it shows some black space around the 'horns'.
If anybody know how to fix it or atleast to make it less visible, please post it.

There is no "alpha channel object". Every pixel has an alpha value -- it is not a separate entity.

However, that does not remove the benefit of having something like layer masks, which non-destructively transform the alpha channel. Paint.NET just won't have something like that until v4.00.

Paint.net does not have an editable alpha channel.

GIMP is a free image editing program which does.

There is a plugin for paint.net to make an image an alpha mask though... if that would help.

edit: okay, i have another question. How to do teamcolouring? (Im still using paint.net)
edit: doesnt matter. I fixed it. Mods, the problem is solved.
