Hello everyone, i was working on my map, everything work fine but then i add an MP3 sound i tested it and it worked fine aswell, happy with the sound result i save my map And i go to sleep, When i wake up and turned on the pc, i get the surprise that i can't open my map :(:( it says "unable to load archive 'c:/users/KiF.w3x' - miss data info or not valid.
Please help me i work so hard in this map i think the problem is the MP3 sound if i could delete that somehow i think my map would work, And other problem is that in my Warcraft 3 map folder there is no "test map folder" so i don't have backup :( please help me i would be so happy if i could get my map back
PD:sorry for my bad English

Edit: Here i upload my map if u can save it somehow i would really apreciate it,
i dont use mpq just normal world edit :( too i have the original full game and i let the map save fully.

Is that the only thing you did to the map?
And, did it save fully?
Do you have a full version of Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne installed?
Also, we can't look at the map if you don't post it. You can put a version up with a link to the Pastebin here: https://www.hiveworkshop.com/pastebin/create
yes it saved fully and i have full version of wc3 and an pirate one but i dont use the pirate one i play the original, i dont know if this help but i edit the mp3Audio to make it less quality for save space in the map, and is 3 seconds long the sound.
Sorry here it is

I'm having no luck with it at all. It's like it's map protected or something. Perhaps someone can crack it for you, @cleavinghammer ?

On the plus side, you learned something I did a long time ago: always copy a backup each time you edit.
I usually have 2 backups because of my past mistakes: one on a flash drive, and one in my email storage.

In addition, I never use .mp3 files for sound. I highly recommend .wav files. You can always convert them online through various audio conversion websites.

I'm assuming the method below will only work if you happen to be using an older version of Warcraft III, like 1.26.

"Do you often use the test possibility of world editor? If yes, you can look up in your warcraft III folder --> Maps --> Test -> WorldEditTestMap.

That's your last playable version of your last tested map. Maybe you are lucky.. I would not more for now :s" -Original Post By IcemanBo
