Removing the ears also removes the inside of the mouth
Probably best to just leave them be.
Progress is looking good, the details on his armour are too solid yellow (and not shiny enough) to be gold though IMO.

I was thinking tentacles...but ahah what color? I mean I could do some sort of Predator like dreads, but still, the main problem here is the color

Could be tricky because of the wrap, but I'm thinking a darker brown or purple for the tentacles themselves, with the ends tipped in the same gold as the gauntlets and chest. See if you can also get that effect on the hair at the front and the ponytail as well.

I don't think it looks very interesting. Just looks like Illidan with fangs and purple armor. And eyes. Maybe if you make the elf ears normal ears (or at least shorter) and did something with the blades...

My point is, it doesn't look cool. The only real problem I have with it is the blades... they could be made so much cooler.

It's up to you; be creative. My only suggestion is you differentiate it further from the default Demon Hunter blades, because right now they are just serrated.

If I remember this correctly, this is a Demon Hunter gone Demon, so I think the blades are very fitting.

The little face on the blade doesn't look extreme enough. It's done alright, but the expression it has is kinda :| like that.

It looks decidedly neutral for a blood spilling weapon.
