I know it's simple but I think it can be useful, no?
Besides I'm still a beginner at making an Icon so please don't be so harsh. :c

Feedbacks are appreciated.

Simple but could be useful.
Cartoonish. Add more depth to it, make it more 3D. And try different shades of color for a nice touch and texture. It also lacks details. This I can say to be a base, it is good for replicating the reference, but it needs more for the hive. Add more originality to it by adding ornaments or whatsoever. The background seems also distracting. This however, a great work it just needs a little tweaking and it'll be good. Good job and good luck. ;)

Thank you for the feedback, sir. :D
I will do my best. ~

I really like the reference compared to your work tbh.
That's understandable, tbh.

As far as I am concerned this is a sweet looking icon which would beat anything I'd submit in art class.

However the style is too cartoony to fit with Wc3 in my opinion.
omg, is that a compliment? :xxd:
I will try to make it more 3D then :P

~nightmare pretty much hit the nail on the head, though you can definitely replicate a reference picture if you wish (no tracing though :3).

my feedback, which is a bit more specific:
  • the lighting of the armour is actually fairly nice, if only because it defines a clear light source. i'd suggest you use hard brushes for shading. this adds detail and texture to the metal, whereas right now it looks incredibly clean and smooth. don't forget about shadows too!
  • don't define form via black outlines, use shading and tonal variation instead. many beginner icon makers - including myself long ago - did this. all it does is make your icon look flat, and it doesn't fit with blizzard's art style.
  • the background is messy and simplistic.

awaiting update.

The image looks like A work professionally drawn, by paint.
But don't get discouraged bro, keep practicing!
